Your Adventure Starts Today........

I specialise in micro adventures but do give me a ring if you fancy a longer multi day expedition.

Micro Adventures are great for a group of friends, a birthday party or a team building / away day!  They are a very chilled out experience, a time to connect with nature and a time to connect with other human beings - that's right, because for most of the time we are 'human doings' trying to cram in loads of stuff into our already full days.  We will stop 'doing' and start 'being'

Woodland Exploration Session

From a couple of hours to a whole day.  I can tailor this experience to meet your requirements.  Lets go off the beaten track and head deep into a forest enclosure.  We can set up a micro camp - sling up a couple of hammocks and tarps, get a brew going.  I can teach you how to use a bushcraft knife to make a plethora of things (from a tent peg, to a gnome, or from a pot hanger to a bow drill set). We could build a shelter (from a big one for a person to micro one for your teddy!).  We can play woodland games and quite simply just be big kids again.  What ever you fancy I am sure we can come up with a plan. Max group size: 6

King of the Camp Fire

A full day. We will start from basics - how to light and maintain a fire, the types of wood to use and how to prepare them (using knife, axe and saw).  Making feather sticks, pot hangers, nettle cordage and other helpful things.  We will then spend time cooking a gastronomic feast - bake a loaf of bread, bake a cake, cook fish or a stew, and lets not forget the all important smores! Max group size: 6

Canoe Experiences

As a fully qualified and highly experienced canoe coach of over 20 years I am ideally placed to provide a guided canoe trip - an evening sunset paddle, a sun rise paddle, or a half or full day river trip.  I always take a brew kit and like to find the perfect place to stop, have a cup of tea or coffee and just simply enjoy being present.  All equipment provided. from 1:1 to a maximum of 3 (2 canoes, 3 of you and 1 of me!)

Introduction to Wild Camping

Experience the delights of a wild camp but in the safety of a secure woodland environment.  Sleep in a hammock, or on the ground under a lean to tarp; cook over the fire, learn how to use a range of cutting tools to prepare fire wood, and create a range of camp gadgets!  It is the ultimate way to spend a couple of days and a night. Max group size: 4

A Walk by the Water

Lets keep things really simple.  Join me for an evening walk from Eling, heading to Goatee Beach and along the footpath towards Marchwood.  We will gather a few bits from a variety of plants and trees that we will use to light and power my stick stove.  We will stop for a cuppa, for a chat and watch the world go by.  This is the simplest and hence the cheapest of all micro adventures - but one of the most satisfying!

I am always open to new ideas - if you have the imagination together we can make your micro adventure in to a reality.  Prices vary hugely dependent on activity, duration and group size.  We can discuss this when we speak.

I cannot wait to hear from you.
